About Alpaca Heights

Image is being processed by ANAfter 20 years, I am downsizing my herd #'s a bit. No, I'm not going out of business! I love my alpacas, and I love working with their fiber! If honesty, integrity and mentoring is what you're looking for in a seller, Alpaca Heights is ready to help you. Call today and see which alpacas might be a good fit for you.

Recent alpaca shoppers visiting made a parting comment when they were leaving, "You're the only farm out of 7 we visited that actually showed us what they do with their fiber." I make it a point to utilize all aspects of alpaca farming to generate income...animal sales, herdsire services, boarding, selling yarn and custom knitted items, sock sales, etc. I show visitors various fiber machines I have whether it be a fiber tumbler (which we build), a picker, electric carder and spinning wheel. Though I use mini-mills to professionally process most of my clip, I love the flexibility I have in incorporating some of my own homespun into a knitted project to sell in my small farm store.

My herd consists of 26 full Peruvian huacayas, including several outstanding herdsires. My focus is to produce very fine, bright, crimpy fleeces. I also want lingering fineness (the animal continues to produce a soft fleece for years, not just the first year.)

If you're researching the alpaca business, do plan a trip to my farm and I'll spend as much time with you that you would like. We're very user-friendly around here.

What do my customers say about Alpaca Heights?

Knowledgeable about the business
Quality, secure facility

The winter months have been spent learning many aspects of fiber processing including washing, drying, dyeing, using an electric drum carder and learning how to spin! It truly is addictive! Some of our best fleeces were sent off to a mill for processing into yarn for resale and for our own use producing unique handknitted items for our small farm store as well as for our online shoppers visiting
