About Peaceful Heart Alpacas

Image is being processed by ANAlong one of America's most scenic roads, you will find Peaceful Heart Alpacas. Our 27 acre farm is located at Mile Post 204 on the Blue Ridge Parkway, just a few miles from the Virginia/North Carolina border. We feel blessed every day to wake up to pastures full of beautiful animals and a fiber arts studio and store located in our 100 year old farm house. Our farm and store is always open to visitors. April-December: Open Mon-Sat 10am-5pm; Sun 1-5pm. January-March we are open Fridays and Saturdays 10-4; Sundays 1-4, and Mon-Thurs by appointment. During the winter we always recommend you call to check the weather before you visit.

We love every aspect of raising alpacas, from our time with them each day to spinning and creating with their fiber. Our family is dedicated to raising alpacas with gentle temperaments and excellent fiber in a peaceful environment for alpacas and people.

Our alpacas are truly exceptional, chosen carefully for their fine fiber and bred to improve on that fineness while paying close attention to conformation and density. Lord Tennyson is a great example of the success of our breeding program. Bloodlines represented in our herd include Hemingway, Caligula, The Silversmith, Peruvian Platinum, Don Juan, Bueno, Peruvian Matador, and Royal Fawn.

In addition to high quality breeding stock, we also sell sweet natured geldings as pets and fiber animals. Come by for a visit and a trip along "America's Favorite Drive". Meet our alpacas and learn about the joys and challenges of raising them, then take time to experience the beauty and history of the Blue Ridge Mountain communities.

Be sure to visit our farm store, too. We have fiber and yarns in a wide array of colors, and beautiful handmade clothing and household items made locally or imported from Peru. You can also purchase the items through our online Farm Store.

We look forward to meeting you!
