I have a 4 year old girl that when she walks or just stands hangs her head most of the time it just doesn't seem to be normal,
has anyone come across this problem if so what was your answer.

That is definitely not normal. Have you checked for back or neck injury? Or perhaps anemia that leaves her too tired to hold her head up? How long has she done this? Does she walk properly (not stumbling or ataxic)?

Do you have prior medical records, or have you asked the prior owner if she's always displayed this behavior? I'd certainly have your vet check her before she delivers. If she has an injury - neck or back especially - it could affect her ability to deliver without assistance.

If you are new to alpacas, it may be submissive behavior if she is also lowering her shoulders a tad and flipping her tail up...
I sure hope that's all it is!
