I went to my local Tractor Supply today to get Ivomec and did not realize until I got home that I picked up Ivomec Plus by mistake. The lable says 1% w/v ivermectin and 10% w/v clorsulon in a sterile solution. Is this ok to use or should I return it and get straight ivomec?
Our girls are coming home in two weeks so I'm trying to get everything together.
Not Rick, but Ivomec Plus contains clorsulon as well as ivermectin. Clorsulon is not indicated in the treatment of M-worm or mites. You are adding an unneeded wormer, increasing the chance of resistance. Clorsulon is for liver flukes. If you inject it every month, in the future you may have liver flukes that cannot be treated with it. Use the right product at the right time.
