Since this is the time of year where many people may be coating their animals because of the extreme cold I thought I would share this cleaning tip. Washing the coats is no big problem but cleaning the Velcro of the grass, hair and dirt that prevents it from attaching really firm has always been a tedious task. One day I was cleaning mine and I had an idea, I went and got one of the small cat brushes with all the little wires that looks like a miniature carding comb. I tried it and wow! just a minute to remove all the crap and have a clean Velcro strip again.

Use it on the strip with the little plastic loops and try going different directions. I also found on some strips holding the brush at an angle and just using the very front tines works better on some pieces.
