OK, it's gotten me really cranky this morning, so please excuse my fuming! If there is anyplace on the web I should be able to go and not be bombarded with "pornography," it's AN Forum.

I'm asking that new subscribers go through a simple screening process to be sure they really have an alpaca interest. Many mailing lists and message boards do this to prevent spamming - can't this be done here? Subscribers should have to verify their interest via a confirmation email, or enter a garbled code, or answer a question like "tell me why you would like to join AN Forum" or some other security measure. They should have to subscribe with a valid, confirmed email address.

Several times in the past year it has NOT been a family-friendly place. Not only do I not want to see it, but I'd hate to have one of the kids in my family be bombarded with sex toy ads when reading the forum.

I don't post often, but I have to agree! This is an informational ALPACA forum, where many of us are soaking up valuable information on how to raise happy and healthy ALPACAS. Get rid of the spam and spammers....we have no need or time for their junk!

Hi y'all -- please give me a telephone call at 716-499-0383 to let me know what you're talking about. At the moment, we seem to have a glitch in the complaint board because all I get when I click on the message being complained of is the entire main menu with active topics. I can't even tell what message is the issue, so I can't correct it. If you'd give me a call to let me know what messages you have trouble with, I'd be happy to delete anything that's inappropriate and "take care of" the offender as well. Thanks!

Judith I am "glad" you are having the same issue as I am. I see all the complaints but I am not able to see the post they are complaining about. I went to go delete and I simply can not find anything like the complaints.

If someone would like to call me or email me and try to "copy" the offending topic I would appreciate it.

Can everyone see this topic except the moderators and staff?

Judith & Bill K.,
Bill G. here. I deleted the offensive posts last night (Weds. night) and deleted the poster. The posts were porn site spams stuck in several forum topics. I tried to clear all the complaints last night, but they (the complaints) weren't all clearing out of the complaint queue as I posted my resolution explanations. I've tried to clear more of them tonight, but some of them still won't clear after I resolve them. I'm going to go back and try to clear them out again in a few minutes.

There were several messages in the last couple of days with web links to adult sex toys. They were there a couple of days ago, and yesterday too from the same poster. Yesterday I ended up doing a live chat with AN and she was going to pass the concerns along to a technician. They are gone this morning. We have had this happen a couple of other times in the last few months.

Judith if I see them again I'll give you a call.
